PorchFest Quincy to take place Sept. 25
3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
PorchFest Quincy is back!
A free volunteer-run music festival in Quincy, Massachusetts.
Porchfest Quincy celebrates local artists, our beautiful neighborhoods, and the people who live here while fostering a greater sense of community.
Merrymount, Squantum, and Wollaston Hill Neighborhoods.
PorchFests are FREE annual music events held across the United States and in Canada on front porches. Started in Ithaca, New York in 2007, PorchFest events bring local musicians and neighborhoods together to celebrate and build community.
In 2016, Wally Hubley and Ian Cain started PorchFest Quincy with a crew of amazing volunteers and created a wonderful day of music and fun. Most recently the festival featured 130 bands at 80 porch locations with an estimated 10,000 attendees. Neighborhood captains Bill Lebo (Merrymount), Stacey Lemay (Squantum), and Kathryn Hubley (Wollaston Hill), and the rest of the team are excited to bring PorchFest Quincy back again each year!
PorchFest music festivals began as a means for neighbors and local community members to highlight their music on front porches and build community. Music is diverse and can range from country to pop, classical, reggae, blues, rock, jazz, Latino, R&B, and many others. Musicians take to the “stage” on porches at their designated times and perform for the public.
