Sean Fahy announces candidacy for Milton Planning Board

I have lived in Milton for over 50 years and raised four children: Michael, Meghan, Kate, and Ciara here. I am a graduate of Providence College, Xaverian Brothers High School, and Saint Agatha School. I have been a Town Meeting Member for 12 years in Precinct 9. I am Chair of the Board of Trustees at Xaverian Brothers High School.

I have spent my 39-year career working in commercial construction management and am the president of CM&B. We are often solving complex problems related to development and construction requirements. I believe my extensive background in construction management and the essential attributes needed to succeed in this industry have positioned me to serve well as a Planning Board member. I am committed to maintaining the character of Milton while also being open minded to changes that we must implement.

Our residents/taxpayers are our “customers” and as such, our town government works at the behest of our “customers.” I am a proponent of responsible planning for the future of Milton. I believe that all change should be vetted thoroughly. I don’t believe that change for the sake of change is reason enough to implement the change in our town. Our residents need to be fully informed so that their opinion is based on all known information.

I am committed to full transparency. I believe that decisions need to be evaluated for their impact on all residents of Milton. I believe that all future developments in Milton should be of a scale and architectural aesthetic that fits into the setting and does not disrupt the character of the respective area. I believe my professional construction management experience, leadership and executive level experience, and my many years living in Milton allows me to responsibly serve the interests of our residents and the town.

In closing, I believe my professional construction management, leadership experience, and over 50 years of living in Milton will allow me to best serve the interest of our residents and the town. I ask for your support between now and Election Day and respectfully ask for your vote on Tuesday, April 29 for re-election to the Milton Planning Board. I also urge you to vote for Maggie Oldfield for the Planning Board as we share common ideologies and together, we can plan responsibly for Milton’s future.
