Robert F. Lynch announces candidacy for Milton Town Meeting Member, Precinct 1

My name is Robert F. Lynch, Jr., and I’m asking for your vote on April 29th, 2025, for Precinct 1 Town Meeting Member.  My wife, our two young daughters (ages 5 and 3), and I live on Decker Street, and our girls attend school right here in Milton.

Professionally, I work as an attorney at Nutter McClennen & Fish LLP in Boston. Here in Milton, I’ve served on the Municipal Broadband Committee for the past 3 years, where we are excited to be breaking ground soon on a new fiber optic network for our municipal buildings and schools. I’m an active member of the Milton Chamber of Commerce and the West Milton Neighborhood Association, and I’m looking forward to my first season as a volunteer coach for Milton soccer this spring.

I am committed to being a strong voice for our precinct, focusing on the issues that matter most to our neighbors. As your representative in Town Meeting, I will support:

Strengthening Our Schools:

• Approval of the current budget override
• Construction of a new middle school
• Prioritizing funding for Tucker Elementary School

Increasing Affordable Housing:

• Development of affordable housing on the Town Farm property
• Reducing hurdles to two-family home and accessory dwelling unit (ADU) development

Boosting Commerce and Revenue:

• Backing small business development
• Strengthening our Payment In Lieu of Tax (PILOT) program

Increasing Traffic and Pedestrian Safety:

• Traffic calming measures on major roads like Blue Hills Pkwy. and Blue Hill Ave.
• Protected bike lanes

Encouraging Grassroots Initiatives:

• Peverly Park Playground
• Pagoda Circle Park Improvements
• 7 Brush Hill Road Curatorship
