Matt is a Precinct 2 Town Meeting member and the proud father of a Glover second-grader. He serves on the School Facilities Committee and is a member of the Trustees of the Affordable Housing Trust, which oversees the distribution of money for affordable projects in Milton. Matt’s passion for accessible transportation and affordable housing is the root of his professional activities and political involvement in this community.
Matt’s 20-year career as an architect has given him the opportunity to execute projects that work for the design of affordable communities and transportation equity. As an expert in accessible transportation design and complex infrastructure projects, he has worked on Logan Airport’s new Terminal E and accessibility upgrades to the MBTA, Amtrak, and other agencies. He is a principal architect at an international engineering firm who oversees teams of architects, planners, engineers, and project managers. Currently, he is designing accessibility upgrades for the MBTA Green Line and redesigning Amtrak’s AutoTrain stations. Despite all the controversial issues our town faces, Matt is grateful that one issue that seems to unite Milton is the need for more affordable housing. The residents of Milton know that this is a great place to live with many benefits: proximity to Boston, top-notch schools, neighborliness, opportunities for recreation, and safety. These benefits can have an enormous impact on people struggling to obtain housing security.
If elected, Matt will bring his experience, ambition, and energy to the Housing Authority to optimize its operations and expand its reach within the town. He humbly asks for your vote when you go to the polls on April 29th.
