James Kelley announces candidacy for Housing Authority Board

My name is James Kelley, a lifelong resident of Milton, where I reside with my wife, Angeleen, a school teacher, and two daughters, Nora and Belle.

I grew up on Gulliver Street, attending Glover Elementary School and Pierce Middle School. My wife and I moved to Church Place in Milton, and married at St. Mary’s church. We recently moved to Smith Road. I received my undergraduate degree from Boston College in corporate systems accounting, Juris Doctor degree from Massachusetts School of Law, and have extensive experience in accounting, housing development, public policy, construction, and law.

I am the treasurer and board member of Massachusetts Fallen Heroes, the official memorial of the Commonwealth for soldiers killed since the terrorist attacks on 9/11. Mass Fallen Heroes is a highly impactful nonprofit organization dedicated to memorializing fallen service members and providing various programs and services to veterans and Gold Star family members.

I am excited about throwing my hat in the ring for Housing Authority Board. I believe this is a productive way for me to bring my commitment and expertise as a lawyer to help address Milton’s housing authority issues. I plan to work cooperatively with my community members and local stakeholders to ensure appropriate compatibility to address our local housing concerns, needs and priorities.
