Elizabeth Dillon announce candidacy for Milton Town Moderator

Dear Neighbors:

I’m Liz, and I’m running for Town Moderator because I believe Milton needs a new, fresh perspective that is fair, effective, and experienced.

As General Counsel at Simmons University and an attorney with 15 years of experience—including 12 as a civil litigator—I’ve built a reputation for fairness, thoughtful analysis, and efficiency. These are exactly the skills needed for an effective Town Moderator.

I’m an engaged neighbor and delivering results for my community. I currently serve on the Warrant Committee and am a Town Meeting Member for Precinct 6. I’m also on the Board of the East Milton Neighborhood Association, a member of the Milton Cultural Council, and and I’m an active Collicot PTO parent.

I love Town Meeting—it’s local democracy at its best. I spend my spare time studying bylaws and rules of procedure, learning from moderators across the state, and watching old meetings (yes, even the long ones!). I’m ready to bring that dedication, fairness, and enthusiasm to the job.

If elected, I will:

  • Run a Town Meeting that works for you—fair, efficient, and accessible to all.
  • Bring accountability and fiscal responsibility—building trust, oversight, and transparency throughout town government.
  • Put government to work—ensure committees are fully staffed with experienced leaders with relevant expertise in business, finance, and policy. I will make sure committees produce real results.

Thank you for your support, and I hope to earn your vote on April 29!
