Brian M Walsh announces candidacy for Milton Town Meeting Member, Precinct 8

My name is Brian Walsh, and I am requesting one of your 10 votes for Town Meeting Member Precinct 8. My wife, Laura and I have been residents of Precinct 8 since 1985, where we raised our three children, Caitlin, Courtney and Brendan, who all attended the Milton Public Schools.

I have been fortunate enough to have served in many non-paid volunteer capacities for the town over the past several decades including:

•  Currently Chairman of the Fire Station Building Committee – 7+ years. (Our antiquated, unhealthy fire stations are being replaced & paid for by special purpose stabilization fund legislation, – without raising your Taxes!
•  New Headquarters Station Completed o East Milton, Engine 2 starting now (April 2025)
•  Atherton Street Station upon completion of East Milton.
•  Milton’s Town Moderator – 14 Years
•  Milton’s School Committee – 7 years
•  Precinct 8 Town Meeting Member since 1992
•  Chair of Police Chief Search Committee
•  Member of original Capital Planning Committee

I have a business discipline (with an MBA and as President of my own company), a passion for fairness and a focused desire to continue to help and improve the Milton I enjoy with all of you. With actively participating in Town Meeting for more than 3 decades, I am very knowledgeable about how Town Meeting works, and more importantly how to get things done at Town Meeting! My unique vantage point at the Moderator’s podium allowed me to watch & learn how the most influential members gain support for their positions.
