Andrea Lizio announces candidacy for Milton Town Meeting Member, Precinct 7

Hello Neighbors,

When we moved from Dorchester to Alvin Ave in January 2020—two young boys and a feisty dog in tow—Warren and I had no idea that we had moved to the coolest, most passionate—let’s face it—BEST neighborhood in Milton! (I know, I know, everybody says that.) We’re beyond grateful we did.

My involvement in Town began in 2023 with MBTA Communities: signature-snatching, door-knocking, sign-holding, and sidewalk rallying down Granite Ave at 8am. I’m a strong advocate for smart development and affordable housing—but only when they are thoughtful, balanced, and aligned with East Milton’s unique integrity and the well-being of its residents.

It’s important that the School Committee prioritize our teachers and students above other ancillary positions or agendas while building a transparent, clearly defined, responsible budget.

I’ve stayed involved with the MBTA zoning conversation, worked on the campaigns of John Keohane for Select Board and Richard Wells for State Rep, and supported other candidates and town officials that align with my values and Milton’s brightest future.

I’m running for Precinct 7 Town Meeting because I don’t see the true face of EM represented. Without open conversation and debate, healthy respect for balancing facts with feelings, and transparency, we cannot move forward. Every important topic or issue deserves input and perspective from the entire community. There is rarely one right answer—and there shouldn’t be.

Whether we agree on a specific issue or not, we ALL call Milton HOME. That means: YOUR VOICE MATTERS.

I would be honored to earn your vote on April 29th.

Together, let’s keep East Milton thoughtful, vibrant, and just the right amount of spicy!
