Share your thoughts on Milton’s upcoming annual town election!

The annual town election is just around the corner, and now is your chance to have your voice heard! Whether you’re passionate about a particular candidate, a specific issue, or the future of our town, submitting an opinion piece is a great way to engage with your community and help inform fellow voters.

How to submit your opinion piece

We invite residents to share their thoughts by submitting a letter to the editor to The Milton Scene. Here’s how:

Include the following in your email:

  • Your full first and last name (anonymous submissions will not be published).
  • Your opinion on Milton’s annual town election—this could include thoughts on candidates, important issues, or why this election matters to you.

What can you write about?

Your letter can cover a range of election-related topics, such as:

  • Why you support (or oppose) a particular candidate.
  • Key issues that should be a priority for town leadership.
  • Encouraging voter participation and civic engagement.
  • Personal experiences that have shaped your views on local governance.

Guidelines for submissions

  • Be respectful: Civil discourse is encouraged. While strong opinions are welcome, personal attacks will not be published.
  • Keep it concise: Ideally, submissions should be 300–600 words to ensure clarity and readability.
  • Submit early: The deadline for opinion pieces is ten days before the election (April 19, 2025) to allow for review and publication.
