Milton School Building Committee to convene for key discussions on March 24, 2025

Agenda Highlights

The meeting will commence with a call to order, followed by an open forum for citizens to speak. Residents are encouraged to participate and voice their concerns or suggestions regarding ongoing and upcoming school building projects.

The committee will review and approve the minutes from the previous meetings, including those from the regular and executive sessions on January 13, 2025.

A major point of discussion will be MSBA (Massachusetts School Building Authority) Module 1, which outlines initial steps for school construction and renovation projects. The committee will also deliberate on the MSBA Statement of Interest concerning several Milton schools, including Collicot, Glover, Tucker, and Pierce Middle School. This discussion is crucial for securing state funding and advancing facility improvements in the district.

Another key topic is the close-out of the Owner’s Project Manager (OPM) contract for a non-MSBA school project. This will involve reviewing the final budget for the project and considering approval of invoices from PMA, the project management firm, for January and February.
