Maureen Brinn announces candidacy for Milton Town Meeting Member, Precinct 8

Greetings Precinct 8 Friends and Neighbors,

I am pleased to announce my candidacy for Town Meeting Member for Precinct 8.

My husband Keenan and I were fortunate to make Milton our home 24 years ago and raised our three sons on Chesterfield Road. I am deeply invested in the Town of Milton and my vision for the future includes making decisions that will positively impact Milton for generations to come.

My guiding objectives as a TMM will be fiscal responsibility that respects people’s hard-earned dollars, thoughtful growth and development, support for our schools, traffic and safety, and advocating for our seniors. I am dedicated to the thoughtful stewardship of Milton’s character and maintaining its appeal as a family friendly community. There aren’t many places where one can walk to school, to church, to the grocery store and to baseball practice. I am also dedicated to preserving the welcoming atmosphere and local charm that defines Milton. We need to balance progress with preservation. By fostering thoughtful zoning and enhancing town services, we can build a community that works for everyone.

I am currently working as Chief Compliance Officer for senior living communities in Massachusetts and Rhode Island and have participated on a variety of Boards and organizations in the Milton community over the years. My professional experiences have instilled in me a leadership and management skill set that includes thinking and acting strategically, approachability, communication, collaboration, problem solving, and advocacy, all of which align with the responsibilities of a TMM. I value the depth, breadth, and significance of the work of Town Meeting. Engaging with and listening to my neighbors and other TMM’s to make decisions that ensure that Milton continues to thrive, would be a privilege.

I am excited about the opportunity to represent my family, friends and neighbors as a TMM. I am committed to being an approachable and respectful advocate for all residents. I humbly ask for your vote on April 29th to allow me to serve the town I love.
