Paul Hogan announces candidacy for Milton Select Board
Paul Hogan is an experienced attorney with a strong background in municipal government and project management. A devoted father of four and Milton resident since 1995, Paul is looking to give back to the community where he has raised his children and operates his law firm.
Paul served on the Milton School Committee from 2003 to 2007 and on the original School Building Committee from 2002 until 2013. In this role, he oversaw the $150 million reconstruction program to rebuild six Milton schools and was charged with budget management, design visioning, and interfacing with contractors. Milton’s students continue to benefit from this transformative program. As a future member of the Select Board, Paul will use this experience to resolve the present need for more classroom space in the schools.
“For me it all begins and ends with good government process where differing viewpoints know that they are heard. I have participated in and facilitated that process in my career and civic work. I know it works best with respect and diplomacy. I humbly ask for your vote on Tuesday, April 29th”
Paul is an accomplished construction attorney with over 20-years’ experience and a deep knowledge of real estate law, real estate development, and environmental law. Throughout his career, Paul has successfully negotiated teacher contracts, managed collective bargaining, negotiated with federal officials for environmental cleanup, and resolved various construction disputes. This demonstrates his strong ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
Paul wants to bring steady leadership to the Select Board that is responsive to residents’ concerns. As a lawyer on the Select Board, he will help guide the town through future deliberations on the MBTA issue and ensure that the town is treated fairly by the state. Paul is committed to financial transparency and will work hard to develop a five-year plan to ensure Milton regains a strong financial footing.
