ABCD to host 2025 Black History Month celebration on Feb. 20

To be held at Boston’s Museum of African American History

Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) is set to host its Annual Black History Month Celebration on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Museum of African American History, located at 46 Joy Street, Boston, MA 02114.

The event aims to honor the rich history and contributions of Black culture through an evening filled with celebration, food, and talent.

ABCD is inviting individuals of all ages to showcase their talents during the event. Performances should be family-friendly and celebrate the rich history and contributions of Black culture. Local businesses are also welcome to set up tables, with a special emphasis on those that highlight Black history or are Black-owned. For questions or additional information, interested parties can reach out via email at [email protected].

This provides a valuable opportunity for businesses to connect with the community and share their work.

The celebration coincides with school vacation week (February 17–21), making it an ideal outing for kids and families to learn, celebrate, and enjoy together. ABCD encourages community members to join in honoring the past, embracing the present, and inspiring the future. Performances and vendor slots are limited; submissions will be reviewed, and selected participants will be contacted with further details.

ABCD’s Annual Black History Month Celebration serves as a significant event in Boston, fostering community engagement and highlighting the importance of Black history and culture.
