What is Radon?
- Radon is a radioactive gas that comes naturally from soil and rocks.
- Radon can move from the ground into your home through cracks and holes in the foundation or from private well water.
Health Effects Associated with Radon:
- Radon can build up inside your house and can potentially cause lung cancer if you breathe it in over many years.
- Radon is the #1 cause of lung cancer among people who don’t smoke.
What Can I Do about Radon in My Home?
- Test your home and well water and then mitigate if there is a problem
- It costs about $1,000-$1,500 to rid an average home of radon
