The Milton Public Library announces adult programs for December 2024

During the month of December, the Milton Public Library is offering a fun array of programs for adults and families to enjoy before the holidays begin. There will be a mid-month final concert, as part of our Fall series, to celebrate the season on Saturday, Dec. 14, starting at 2:00 p.m. in the Keys Community Room. We will be bringing back the New England Irish Harp Orchestra and conductor Regina Daley for whom we have had many requests from the community. We hope you will consider joining host Jean Hlady for many familiar and festive songs, all arranged for and performed on beautiful Irish harps! This wonderful group includes about 12 harpists, a fiddler, a drummer and more, and will even include a bit of Celtic dancing by Ms. Delaney to keep the fun coming. No sign-up is required to attend and this event is great for all ages. We would love to see you there, and please bring the family, to help us all catch some holiday spirit! It’s a festive season and whether you’re hosting a party, inviting a friend over after a long day of holiday shopping, or just cooking something cozy and comfortable for your family during a hectic time, Connie will share her simple, yet guest-worthy, recipes! You can cook along with her or just sit back with a note pad (and your favorite beverage), and watch Connie prepare the meal and share helpful hints along the way. Sharon Steves sets her mind to helping father Ed Schmitt in a small Kentucky town to obtain a liver transplant for one of his daughters, and what unfolds is an inspiring tale of faith, everyday miracles, and ordinary angels! The running time is 118 minutes and it is rated PG.
