North Cambridge Family Opera announces Spring 2025 production

North Cambridge Family Opera (www.FamilyOpera.org) has announced their spring 2025 production.

Kids Court (www.familyopera.org/drupal/Kids_Court_2025_Synopsis_with_Demos) is a fully-sung theater piece by Cambridge-based composer David Bass and renowned BBC comedy writer John Kane about the trial of Hansel and Gretel’s stepmother, taking place on the set of a reality TV show.

It is a hilarious sendup with brilliant music and dozens of roles for adults and children (age 7+) of all abilities and experience. Casting auditions are October 19 to 27 (everyone gets in). We encourage families to perform together, and require kids under age 10 to have a participating adult.
