Milton School Committee meeting scheduled for October 9, 2024

The Milton School Committee will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will take place at Milton High School, inside the Milton Access Cable Studio, Room 245. Key Agenda Highlights:

1. Superintendent’s Report:
   • A presentation of the Q1 Implementation Plan Report will be provided.
   • The DESE End of Year Report will also be reviewed.
   • The School Committee Student Representative will be welcomed, highlighting the involvement of students in the district’s decision-making process.
2. Chair’s Report:
   • The committee will vote on designating a delegate for the MASC Joint Conference.
3. Finance and Policy Subcommittee Reports:
   • A vote will be taken on vendor warrants during the finance subcommittee’s presentation.
   • The policy subcommittee will present a second reading of Section G revisions, which will also require a vote.
4. Student and Building Committee Updates:
   • The student representative will deliver their report, bringing a student perspective to the meeting.
   • The School Building Committee and Facilities Advisory Committee will provide updates on ongoing projects and facility maintenance.
5. Public Comment Period:
   • As per Policy BEDH, the public will have 15 minutes to share comments at the beginning of the meeting.
