Council on Aging to hold upcoming meeting with focus on community programs and fundraising efforts on Oct. 21
The Council on Aging (COA) will hold its next meeting on October 21, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. in the classroom at 10 Walnut Street. The agenda will cover a variety of topics aimed at keeping the community informed and engaged, including program updates, financial reports, and a review of recent and upcoming activities.

Doreen from the Friends of COA will discuss the ongoing fundraising efforts. The October fundraiser will be highlighted, with details on its impact and how it benefits the organization. - SSE Report
Mary Ann will share the latest news from the Senior Services Executive (SSE), offering insights into senior services at the local and regional levels. - Committee Reports
- Quality Control: Sara will present updates on service and program quality efforts.
- Reach Out: Marshall and Marge will report on outreach initiatives designed to connect with and support more seniors in the community.
- Community Voices: Janet and Caroline will provide an update on the upcoming flu clinic, emphasizing the importance of vaccinations in the senior community.
- Old and New Business
In addition to reviewing any old business, the meeting will look ahead to the next scheduled meeting on December 9, 2024, at 9 a.m. under new business discussions. - Open Forum for Feedback and Acknowledgments
The Council will open the floor for questions, feedback, or concerns. The COA will also take a moment to express its gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the Fall Fundraiser and the Farmers Market, including special thanks to volunteers Janet, Mary Ellen, CeCe, and Patrick.
