Join us for adult yoga on Oct. 1, or chair yoga on Oct. 10 at the Milton Public Library

A group of people are seated on yoga mats in a calm room, with eyes closed and hands in a prayer position, participating in a yoga meditation session. Milton Public Library announces adult programs for September 2024, including sessions like this to enhance well-being.

During the month of October, the Milton Public Library has an entertaining and educational lineup of programs for adults and families to enjoy. Following are some details about our ongoing programming. This month there will be another “Adult Yoga” class with instructor Sheila Armstrong on Tuesday, October 1 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., and another “Chair Yoga” session on Thursday, October 10, from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. To see all the other dates for yoga and to sign up for either of these, go to our website: www.miltonlibrary.org/events.

Once there, choose “see all events” and then find the date you want. Advance registration is required for each individual date to participate, and these free classes fill up fast. Please join us to practice asanas (yoga poses) and breathing techniques to create more space in our minds and bodies at adult yoga, and gain core strength, improve mobility and flexibility, and increase mental clarity at chair yoga. Chair yoga is a very beneficial practice for teenagers, adults, seniors, people in wheelchairs or those with physical disabilities or medical concerts. These classes are for ages 13 and up, space is limited and they are held in the Keys Community Room.

For questions about this event, call the Reference Dept. at (617) 898-4964. This event is kindly sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library.

This event is free and open to all.

Please consider visiting us in October!
