Milton seeks bids for Clapp Street sidewalk improvements by August 8, 2024

The Department of Public Works for the Town of Milton, Massachusetts will receive sealed bids for the M24-1 Clapp Street Sidewalk Improvements until 11:00 a.m. local time August 8, 2024. in the Engineering Department on the 2nd Floor of the Milton Town Offices located at 525 Canton Avenue Milton, MA 02186. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in the Cronin Conference Room in the Basement of the Milton Town Offices. Bids received after the time of announced opening will not be accepted. Clearly label bids “BID M24-1 Clapp Street Sidewalk Improvements”.

The work to be done under the Base Bid consists of furnishing all necessary labor, tools, materials and equipment required to reconstruct bituminous concrete sidewalks and ADA compliant concrete curb ramps with new granite curbing, minor drainage improvement, and milling and paving of Clapp Street, as well as safety controls and signing for construction operations and other incidental items included in the contract documents.

Work done under Base Bid shall be substantially completed within 60 calendar days. The work to be done under the Alternate Bid No. 1 consists of furnishing all necessary labor, tools, materials and equipment required for milling and paving of Walnut Street, as well as safety controls and signing for construction operations and other incidental items included in the contract documents.

Work done under Base Bid plus Alternate Bid No. 1 shall be substantially completed within 75 calendar days. The Contract Documents may be downloaded from the bidding page on the Town’s website at https://www.townofmilton.org/bids.aspx. Printed documents may be obtained during the business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday in the

Engineering Office located on the 2nd floor of Town Hall, 525 Canton Avenue Milton, MA 02186 on or after July 25, 2024.

A non-refundable fee of $75.00 by check payable to the Town of Milton shall be required for each set of Contract Documents printed and obtained from the Engineering Department.
