Deadline Approaching: Apply for Community Preservation Funding by May 31
In a bid to empower local residents and enhance the community’s well-being, the Community Preservation Committee is thrilled to announce the opening of eligibility applications for the Community Preservation Act (CPA) funding. This funding opportunity covers civic projects across three crucial domains: Affordable Housing, Historic Preservation, and Open Space/Recreation.
Starting on Friday, March 1st, Milton residents can submit their eligibility applications, with the deadline for submissions set on May 31st. This initiative marks the third round of funding, reflecting the town’s commitment to channeling tax dollars towards projects that benefit the entire community.
Over the past rounds, the Community Preservation Committee has successfully allocated funds to various impactful projects. Notable examples include improvements to popular playing fields like Kelly, Andrews, and Mary C. Lane. Additionally, essential repairs to historical landmarks such as the Forbes House Museum and Town Lock-up have been addressed, preserving the town’s rich cultural heritage.
Residents have witnessed significant upgrades to cherished recreational spaces like Wharf Park, Peverly Park, Gile Field, and Popes Pond, showcasing the diverse range of projects supported by the CPA. The Affordable Housing Trust has also received substantial contributions, contributing to the town’s commitment to providing affordable and accessible housing options.

Please fill out the Community Preservation Committee (CPC) Eligibility Form (PDF) to confirm your project’s eligibility for funding through the Community Preservation Fund. Once filled, please email the form and any supporting materials to the CPC.
