East Milton Neighbors:

My name is Warren Lizio and I want to continue advocating for Precinct 7 as your representative in Town Meeting. As an active member of the East Milton Neighborhood Association, as a former member of Milton’s Master Plan Committee, and as a participant in many meetings, including the East Milton Overlay, I am well-informed of the issues impacting us.

I have, and will continue to, stand up for East Milton.

Running for Town Meeting is important to me because I value East Milton’s integrity and the wellbeing of Milton residents at large. Respecting the Town’s existing character is critical as we take on challenges like MBTA Communities, School Expansion, Traffic, and Fiscal Discipline. Growth is inevitable and welcomed when it adds to our community without taking away what we already have. I will contribute:

• A Collaborative, Goal-Oriented Approach that facilitates open, respectful conversation to arrive at the best solutions. I believe that diversity is a strength and the perspective of each person matters.
• Financial Competence, permitting a critical analysis and review of budgets and financing. We must ensure that the funds we have are applied in a pragmatic, strategic manner so that increasing property taxes and overrides do not become regular occurrences.
• Experience in Community Development, based upon volunteering with organizations like Main Streets and as Chapter President of the education nonprofit Inst. for Real Estate Management.

I attended BC High, UMass, and Boston University. I own a professional property management company, PropertyCraft. Previously, I worked in development, commercial banking, public process, and management and re/development of over 2,000 market/affordable apartments. Because I know what bad ideas look like, I spent several days door knocking with my wife and two boys for the Vote NO campaign.

My family and I love Milton. We are especially grateful to be living in East Milton where active residents have consistently banded together to address critical issues as they arise.
