Jay Fundling announces candidacy for Town Meeting Member for Precinct 3

I’m Jay Fundling and I’m running for re-election for Town Meeting in Precinct 3.

My main goal this coming year will be to help the town prepare its budget for the long term, in anticipation of a likely override next year.

I currently serve on the Warrant Committee, and this year I helped the town make long term plans regarding their pension plan and health care plan that contributed $3M to the town’s operating budget.

This coming year if I am a Warrant Committee member or a Town Meeting Member I hope to contribute plans regarding our stabilization funds and long term employee benefits so that we can have a plan that gets us through not just one financial year, but sets us up for years to come.

I think it is essential that residents are involved in this process, and that we don’t just leave it for the Town Administrator to solve.
