Generosity in Bloom: Milton Woman’s club donates $25,000 to enhance community life – April 18
Members of The Milton Woman’s Club voted to approve the following donations to benefit the Milton community through two local organizations.
The Milton Public Library will receive $15,000 to create an area of Harmony Sound Flowers within the outdoor patio garden. When played, soft melodic tones are created, and this special children’s feature is a Legacy Gift from the Milton Woman’s Club.
The Milton Art Center will receive $10,000 to fund a “Senior Art Lab,” a daytime art program for older adults weekly. Milton seniors can socialize and use art supplies from MAC, free of charge, to do personal art projects for three hours once a week. Each class can accommodate about 40 attendees, who can come and go on their own schedules during the scheduled period. The innovative program will run September-November 2024, and March-May 2025. More details to come.
The funding was created under the leadership of MWC co-presidents Deanna Seymourian and Carole Kussmann and the MWC board of directors.
