Franc Graham announces candidacy for Milton Town Meeting Member, Precinct 9

Franc Graham here, from Precinct 9. I’m running for Town Meeting again after a few years off, and I would be honored to represent you!

My involvement in Milton over the past 18 years includes:

• Creating Cunningham School’s Outdoor Classroom
•  Serving on Cunningham’s Site Council
• Hosting Milton Art Center’s music programming
• Leading singalongs at our library, preschools, and senior centers
• Orchestrating town-wide installations with Milton kids
• Serving our community through First Parish UU

As a previous Town Meeting Member, I studied the myriad issues facing Milton: overwhelmed schools

•  a limited tax base
•  traffic congestion and safety
•  affordable housing, especially for our elderly neighbors
•  protecting our green spaces, and ensuring that all of our neighbors feel at home here.

My editorial role at the Harvard Kennedy School centers on local government challenges, the complexity of which requires an openness to all perspectives and creative, collaborative problem-solving. I will bring both of these skills to my next term at Town Meeting if entrusted with your vote on Tuesday, April 30 at the high school.
