Volunteer opportunity: join the Playspace Program at Horizons for Homeless Children
Two hours a week is all it takes to have an impact on children living in homeless shelters in your community.
Horizons Playspaces are dedicated rooms in homeless shelters, staffed by volunteers, full of toys to play with and books to read. Children look forward to time in the Playspace, time that they get to be a kid and play in a space that’s meant for them. Parents get to take some times for self care and a well deseve break.
Young adults ages 16 and 17 can volunteer if accompanied by a parent or guardian. W
e currently have a many shelters where families are interested in sending their children to play, but we simply don’t have the volunteers to fill those slots.
