Tom Callahan announces candidacy for re-election for Milton Town Meeting Member, Precinct 4
Twenty-three years ago, I put my name on a ballot for the first time when I ran for Milton Town Meeting. At the time, our daughters were 6 and 4 and I ran to support our schools. They both attended Tucker, Piece and Milton High benefiting from the last effort to renovate and build new schools. Today, my motivation to run is just as strong as we continue to tackle important issues facing our town.
In my professional life, I am the executive director of the Partnership for Financial Equity and have spent 40 years in the nonprofit sector. In Milton, I serve on the Milton Affordable Housing Trust and Milton Community Preservation Committee, addressing the important issues of affordable housing, open space and recreation, and historic preservation. Last year, I was part of a group of residents who have come together to form Affordable Inclusive Milton.
My wife, Eileen and I love Milton. We chose Milton to raise our two daughters and have met so many great neighbors who share our passion for an inclusive, caring community. I respectfully ask for your vote in Precinct 4 on April 25th.
