Laura Springer announces candidacy for Milton Town Meeting, Precinct 7
Dear Milton Neighbors,
I’m excited to announce my candidacy as a Town Meeting Member for Precinct 7. My husband and I chose to settle in Milton and raise our family here for many reasons including its character, sense of community and strong education. Our daughter is a student at Collicot and our son will be heading to school in a few short years. I’m an active volunteer in my daughter’s school, involved with the PTO, enjoy time with my son at the Milton Library, and love frequenting the local businesses.
I have a bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College in Organizational Communication, Learning & Design. My professional background includes various roles in advertising, marketing, and events, all of which led me to my current career as a Realtor with Coldwell Banker. I believe my experience with building relationships and working as a collaborative team member can be put to good use as a Town Meeting Member.
Some of the issues most important to me include:
- Smart development that balances the changing needs of the town without compromising the character & history
- Supporting our schools to find solutions to our growing population
- Cultivating a welcoming and secure community that embraces diversity and promotes inclusivity for all residents
- Valuing the perspectives and opinions of all community members to create a more collaborative and inclusive decision-making process
As homeowners and parents, we have a lot invested in this town and I am committed to giving back in a meaningful way to support all voices in Milton. I would be honored to receive your vote on April 25th and have the opportunity to represent and serve our community!
