Kristine Hodlin announces candidacy for re-election to Milton Library Trustee
I am announcing my candidacy for re-election for Milton MA Library Trustee and would appreciate your support and vote on April 25.
My husband, Paul and I have lived in Milton since 1984, raising our three children – Nils, Kurt and Erika. We now help to care part-time for our grandchildren who also reside here. I have embraced Milton through active involvement in Town government for many years as a Town Meeting member, Warrant Committee member and Library Trustee. I am also an active member of East Congregational Church serving as Finance Chair, Treasurer and Youth Leader. When my children attended Milton Public Schools I volunteered as PTO Treasurer, Boosters Treasurer and Site Council member.
I have been a Trustee of the Library for 12 years in roles as Chair, Treasurer and member of several subcommittees. Some of my accomplishments during my tenure include
- leading our evaluation and move to a new investment management firm to oversee the Trustee funds
- collaborating with the Town to hire a contractor to design and build the parking lot turnaround
- creating a subcommittee to revamp the Director’s evaluation process
- serving on a committee to update the Library’s long range plan
- re-negotiating the Discovery Schoolhouse lease
- proposing steps and a timeline for researching the strategic vision of the Kidder building
I am currently chairing our building and grounds subcommittee as we seek to expand our parking capabilities to service our patrons better.
I want to participate in the Library’s continued success working with the Director, Will Adamczyk and the other Board members. I respectfully ask for one of your votes on April 25.
