Jonathan Lashley announces candidacy for Milton Town Meeting, Precinct 4
My family and I moved to Milton 3 years ago during the pandemic. In that time we’ve enjoyed connecting with many of our Thacher street neighbors, and have fallen in love with the town. With a vote for Town Meeting Member, I would like to be given the opportunity to shape the future of the town as well as preserve its strong sense of history and tradition.
I’m a Registered Architect, based in Boston, with years of experience in multifamily residential housing, affordable housing, and senior living. I am a member of the Boston Society of Architects, and a co-chair of the BSA Committee on Design for Aging. With this professional knowledge, I feel that I would be an invaluable asset to both families and seniors in town. I also bring a breadth of real world experience with issues regarding zoning and planning, and transit oriented development relevant to critical issues such as MBTA Communities.
With a young son, I’m passionate about the schools in Milton, and know about both the challenges we face and the quality of education for which the town is regarded. In addition, my roots in community leadership stretch back to the Meetinghouse Hill Civic Association in Dorchester, where I served as long-standing Treasurer. Thank you and I look forward to your vote!
