The Life and Times of St. Patrick virtual talk to take place March 7
There will be a virtual talk with local historian, Sean Murphy, who will be back via Zoom to tell us about the historical significance of St. Patrick and the proud heritage of Ireland. The program is called “The Life and Times of St. Patrick” and it will be held on Tuesday, 3/7, at 7:00 p.m.
He will explore the reasons for the saint’s mission in Ireland in the context of the rise of Christianity within the declining Roman Empire, and the impact of the huge migration of peoples from the Germanic regions of Europe into Western Europe, and you will learn about his achievements and the role that Irish missionaries had on the country. Mr. Murphy teaches through the Irish Cultural Center of New England, at Cape Cod Sons of Erin, and more. Please register in advance at our website to receive the Zoom link, and we hope to see you join us!
