“Landscape Photography by Fares Alti” exhibit to take place in April at Wotiz Gallery
From April lst through the 30th, the Milton Public Library will host a very talented photographer in the first floor Wotiz Gallery named Fares Alti. In this exhibit, which is called “Landscape Photography by Fares Alti,” you will enjoy many beautiful nature scenes, including seascapes. Fares, who lives in Quincy, MA, has always had a love of the outdoors since he was a child, as his father would take him on camping trips to mountains and forests that he thought only existed in fairy tales.
This is what he says about his work: “It all started outside…… The sense of advcnture I felt from those childhood trips never left me. With age comes more responsibility, but I somehow always managed to set some time aside to visit with Mother Nature and check up on her. Taking pictures of my adventures with my phone didn’t really do these amazing places justice. I invested in some camera gear and would take it with me on my backpacking trips and road trips. As it does with most others, photography consumes you. It becomes more than just a hobby; it’s a lifestyle. My cameras are a part of my life and I never travel without them. I feel extremely fortunate to have experienced these amazing places and see them first-hand. My goal with photography is to pass on that same experience to you, so that you can feel the same magic I felt in that moment.”
There will be a free and open reception held on Thursday, April 6th, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Gallery.
Please come and view these wonderful photographs this month, and you will be able to meet the artist in person too at the reception.
