Recycled fiber crafting program to take place February 11
As part of the “Milton Grows” initiative, there will be a creative event happening on Saturday 2/11, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 Noon, called “Recycled Fiber Crafting.”
Got some old t-shirts lying around?
How about a stash of plastic grocery bags that you’re not sure how to use?
Bring these things to the MPL and learn how to turn this trash into treasure.
During this program we will learn how to cut a t-shirt into “tern” and a plastic bag into “plarn,” which can then be used to knit or crochet a variety of objects.
Participants are asked to bring 1+ old t-shirts that they don’t intend to wear again, and a pair of sharp scissors.
For more details go to our website, where you will need to register in advance to participate.
This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library and are free and open to everyone.“Milton Grows”- which funds some of these programs – is a year-long initiative for all ages focused on gardening and sustainability.
Funded by the federal Library Services and Technology Act, the grant is administered by the MBLC, and supported by our partners Sustainable Milton and the Friends of the MPL.
