Milton Grows: Planting for Pollinators event to take place February 16
“Milton Grows’ event is scheduled for Thursday, 2/16, at 7:00 p.m. called “Planting for Pollinators” which will be held virtually via Zoom.
Inviting pollinators into our gardens has become critical for the preservation of our environment, and while it sounds like a tall order, it is not. We’ll explore what attracts pollinators and why native plants are essential to their well-being, and we will highlight tried and true natives that can complement your garden and withstand our New England weather.
Please sign up in advance at our website where you may also read more details, and once registered, you’ll receive the link on the day of the program. All of these events are kindly sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library and are free and open to everyone.“Milton Grows”- which funds some of these programs – is a year-long initiative for all ages focused on gardening and sustainability.
Funded by the federal Library Services and Technology Act, the grant is administered by the MBLC, and supported by our partners Sustainable Milton and the Friends of the MPL. For questions or for assistance registering for a program, Email [email protected] or call the Reference Dept. at (617) 898-4964. The Milton Public Library is located at 476 Canton Avenue.
