Cranberries 101 talk to take place Dec. 1 at Milton Public Library
There will be a hybrid presentation called “Cranberries 101,” on Thursday, 12/1, at 7:00 p.m. in person or via Zoom. Related to a monthly exhibit called “Rhapsody in Red: 200 years of Cranberry Growing in Massachusetts” sponsored by the Cape Cod Cranberry Growers’ Association, this talk will be given by cranberry grower Adrienne Kravitz of Bridgewater, MA.
The CCCGA represents over 330 Massachusetts growers of this tart holiday-friendly fruit! Learn the basics of the Massachusetts cranberry industry and understand what is happening on the bogs (and why) during the four seasons of the year.
Advance registration is required to attend and when you sign up, please indicate whether you would like to come in person or participate via Zoom. The accompanying cranberries exhibit will be displayed from 12/1-12/31 on the lower level of the library, and we hope you might come and check it out this month.
This activity is part of “Milton Grows,” a year-long initiative for all ages focused on gardening and sustainability. It is funded by the federal Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the MBLC, and supported by our partners Sustainable Milton and the Friends of the Milton Public Library.
We hope to see you during December, and for questions, please Email [email protected] or call the Reference Dept. at (617) 898-4964.
