Select Board April 13: Annual Town Meeting Discussion and More
Select Board members recognized Chair, Katie Conlon and member, Melinda Collins for their dedication and service over the years. They each spoke fondly of their time serving with them and wished them the best of luck in their private lives.
Public Hearing-Cellco partnership
The Select Board approved the application from Verizon to attach a small cell to a utility pole located on Gile Road to increase usage coverage in this area. The request was due to the increase in need in this particular area.
Final report Equity and Justice for All Committee
Co-Chair, Pat Latimore, joined to present the final committee report. The committee is grateful to the Select Board for putting the group together and for implementing the recommended practices, procedures and changes. They feel that their survey results were powerful and long lasting and will have a long term effect on and in the community.
Covid-19 update
Health Director, Caroline Kinsella, joined with a brief Covid-19 update. She says there is a slight uptick in positive cases and she expects an increase after school vacation is over.
Annual Town Meeting
Town Moderator, Bob Hiss, joined with his recommendation. He recommends that the meetings be held in the high school auditorium, be limited to just Town Meeting members and those citizens that wish to speak, outdoor seating availability and a ‘mask island’ set up where those who wish to remain separate from those who wish to remain unmasked can sit. Zoom will also be available.
