Democratic Nominating Convention to take place March 5

It is caucus time and on Saturday March 5th , 2022 at 10:00 a.m. sharp in the Keyes room of the Milton Public Library (and by zoom for those who cannot join in person).

We will be electing delegates to serve milton at the State Democratic Nominating Convention taking place this June!

(Library doors will open at 9:00 a.m. – please arrive in time to register before the planned delegate nomination and election process starts at 10:00 a.m. )

As a Milton delegate you will decide which democratic candidates will be on the statewide ballot for governor, lt governor and all other statewide positions. Let your voice be heard and your preferred candidate win ballot placement!

Any registered Milton Democrat is welcome to participate and to ask to be elected as a delegate.

Nominations will be accepted at the event on March 5th but not before.

Nominees must be present in person or via zoom to accept nominations to serve as a delegate.

Milton has been allocated up to 21 delegates and 5 alternative delegates to this year’s important delegating convention!

(NOTE: Delegates and alternates apportioned to each ward and town must be gender balanced (within one, in the case of odd numbers) with non-binary delegates and alternates not being counted in either the male or female category).

Preregistration is strongly encouraged to avoid long lines as the Milton Democractic Committee ( host of the caucus) must confirm the Democratic party status of all  attendees/participants who want to be nominated to serve as delegates and/or who will be eligible to vote for delegates!

How to pre-register :

If you plan to attend in person, please email Kathy Fagan asap at [email protected] with the following information :

• your full legal name
• Milton address
• best contact information (email or phone)
• and confirm that you are registered as a Democrat in the Town of Milton

If you cannot attend in person but want to participate on March 5th, 2022 via zoom please register asap on the link below after which you will be sent the meeting link once your party affiliation has been confirmed.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

IMPORTANT: Registration will also be offered on-site (only) on March 5th, 2022 but the committee reserves the right to stop taking registrations 15 minutes before the caucus commences – so REGISTER EARLY/NOW TO ENSURE THAT YOU CAN PARTICIPATE ! DO NOT WAIT!
