Turning 65 Medicare Seminar + Caregiver Support Group to take place September 20

Turning 65?

As you approach Medicare eligibility (age 65), you may have health coverage questions. The SHINE (Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Everyone) Counselor at the Milton Council on Aging will present Planning for Medicare, a free health insurance information seminar for Milton residents who will become eligible for Medicare in the next few years. This seminar is designed to help you be confident you are making the right Medicare decisions. Whether you are planning to retire or will continue to work it is important to know your Medicare options.

Planning for Medicare will cover:

Explanation of Medicare Parts A, B, and C
Medicare’s enrollment timeline
Medigap plans that help supplement Medicare coverage
Medicare Advantage plans, such as HMOs and PPOs
Medicare Part D prescription drug plans
Plans and programs available to early retirees, such as COBRA

CarEgiver support GROUP

The Caregiver Support Group at the Milton Council on Aging welcomes families, partners, and other caregivers to a supportive gathering place to relax and enjoy conversation over pastry and coffee with others to discuss the stresses, challenges, and rewards of providing care for adults with disorders such as dementia, stroke, brain injury, and other chronic debilitating health conditions.
