Rent-a-Rower is back! Springtime yard clean-up 2021

Do you have leftover leaves on the ground from the Fall and tree branches that have snapped from the excessive windy days recently but feeling unmotivated to do yard work? Our high school rowers will be at your service to provide clean-up of your yard! Rowers will wear masks, and bring their own rakes and yard waste bags. Filled yard waste bags will be left in front of your house for town pick up.

The proceeds from this Friends of Milton Crew (FOMC) fundraiser will help keep our program running all year. FOMC supports rowing by generating operating funds and purchasing boats and other equipment necessary to support athletes from FOMC and Milton High School Crew.

Your support helps keep rowing accessible to all who want to participate in Milton and surrounding areas.

For reference, the cost of equipment is as follows:

• New 8 person boat = $35,000+
• New 4 person boat = $20,000+
• New oars = $300+ each

This year our team’s services will be available on two weekends: May 1 & 2, and May 8 & 9. We’ll have your yard cleaned up and ready for Springtime celebrations. Members of the Milton community can rent out student-athletes on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please indicate your interest sooner rather than later since we book up quickly!

Cost

• Half-day: $225 (small yards)
• Full-day: $450 (big yards)

All services include 3 rowers working at the same time.

Time of Day

Half-Day: Morning shift: 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 am or Afternoon shift: 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Full-Day: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with a lunch break between 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
