Arlington mom & software developer creates COVID vaccine appointment website

We have been receiving multiple emails at The Milton Scene, asking if we have any information as to how residents can sign up for COVID vaccines. Searching Milton Neighbors results in a plethora of elderly residents and their families, trying to figure out just how they can acquire their vaccines for the coronavirus.

Local software developer, Olivia Adams was encountering the same problem after her mother-in-law had difficulty signing up. She created a website that scrapes data from COVID vaccine informational websites every 5 minutes and tells users what places currently are advertising available appointments for COVID vaccines.

Currently, information is gathered from/for:

• maimmunizations.org (many locations)
• Hannaford (5 locations)
• UMass Amherst
• Springfield: Eastfield Mall
• Danvers: Doubletree Hotel
• Arlington: Family Practice Group, PC

Adams states she is “working as fast as I can to gather more information from other sources.
