Letter to the Editor: We will get through this pandemic, but our gym needs your help
Dear Milton Neighbors,
I have written the following letter in support of our locally women owned gym, Fitness Unlimited, and would hope you take the time to read the following it would be greatly appreciated!
Dear Fitness Unlimited,
I wanted to say Thank You and I am sticking by you! I moved to Milton in 2001 and joined my local gym, Fitness Unlimited never realizing how my much Fitness would give back to me.
My life would not be the same had Fitness not held the Mommy & Me class where I met some of my closest friends. The girls at daycare became confidants and helped me keep sane raising four kids. Yoga on Saturdays and a coffee after at Bruegers was sometimes the only time we had for ourselves all week. The gym was a place where all women were welcome, and where we felt encouraged, a real community.
All of us have walked into Fitness feeling low and after class or a work out felt able to tackle the world. Sometimes it was a kind word from another woman going through the same thing as yourself.
I have attended March Anniversary celebrations, DJ Yoga on Friday nights, workouts with people wearing Halloween costumes, Turkey Day fundraisers with Cindy and Lauren, and Rocked out the Bon Jovi in the Spin Room. All these things gave back to the members and and now its our turn.
We as members need to save our gym. We are one of the few women owned gyms on the South Shore. East Milton will not be the same without this institution. We will get through this pandemic, but our gym needs your help.
Please consider renewing your membership, I am! I am behind Fitness Unlimited.
Love,
Susan Collins
