Fun social distancing summer activities: blueberry picking
A couple of weeks ago we created a list of farms that are open for strawberry picking…and now that strawberry season is coming to an end it’s time to look at other fun and yummy fruits you can pick with the family!
Below are couple of PYO farms that have revised their protocols to ensure everyone is able to practice social distancing and remain safe while having fun.
Birdhaven Blueberry Farm
Opens: Currently open for the 2020 season
Special restrictions: Must call or email to reserve your spot ahead of time, bring your own face mask (required), do not bring your own container because they will be provided
Gianetti’s UPick Blueberries
Opens: Currently open for the 2020 season
Special restrictions: Visitors are required to reserve a picking time, social distancing will be maintained and visitors assigned a picking area, hand washing is required before entering the field, masks must be worn and containers will be provided.
Cider Hill Farm
Opens: Currently open for the 2020 season
Special restrictions: Visitors are required to pre-purchase tickets, everyone must wear masks, picking containers will be provided, handwashing before picking is required.
Hokum Rock Blueberry Farm
Opens: Currently open for the 2020 season
Special restrictions: Visitors are required to pre-purchase tickets, everyone must wear masks, picking containers will be provided, handwashing before picking is required.
Tree-Berry Farm
Opens: Currently open for the 2020 season
Special restrictions: Visitors are required to wear masks, social distancing is required, containers will be provided, handwashing and hand sanitizers will be available. Find out more here.
Maple Crest Farm
Opens: Currently open for the 2020 season
Special restrictions: You must make an appointment for the PYO experience by calling Farmer John at 508-641-5955. Face masks are required.
