MSAPC presents: The Birds, the Bees and the Butterflies

The first Wednesday Webinar in June, at 7:30 p.m., will feature Casey Corcoran, whose presentation will focus on how parents and guardians can promote healthy relationships with their teen and tween children. Caregivers oftentimes talk to kids about the birds and the bees but leave out speaking about “the butterflies”.

The “butterflies” are emotions that young people often feel when they are in an intense relationship or friendship. This presentation will focus on concrete strategies, conversation starters, and resources that parents and caregivers can use with their kids in 6th–12th grade, to promote respectful relationships.

Casey is a Milton resident and the Director of Sexual Violence Prevention Education at the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center Casey and has significant professional experience training on both high school and college campuses, including in the Milton public schools.

Each webinar in the Milton Learns Together: Webinar Wednesdays series is approximately 30 minutes long with a question and answer period to follow. They are free and no registration is required.
