Join Ms. Forbes Kerr via Zoom as she shares the joys and challenges of working with her great-great-grandfather’s original questions. Ship captain and China trader Robert Bennet Forbes was a prolific letter writer, and during his adventures aboard ship, and in Canton, Macao, and Hong Kong, he wrote many letters to his wife Rose expressing humor, family gossip, and a longing to be together again. The letters are full of wit and spirit, and are a source of emotional as well as historical information.
