Milton Public Library’s virtual gallery features Milton Quilts by Bethany Izard
We invite you to view “Milton Quilts” by Bethany Izard, the featured Wotiz Gallery exhibit for April, at our virtual gallery: https://miltonlibrary.libguides.com/art.
For the month of April 2020, artist Bethany Izard was scheduled to show her quilts in the Wotiz Gallery of the Milton Public Library. Since the Library building has been closed during this time, Ms. Izard has shared photos of her works to be displayed on this virtual exhibit, Milton Quilts. She is committed to using recycled textiles to create these beautiful pieces.
About the project:
The artist attended The School of Visual Arts in New York, and worked for many years as a paper artist. But she loves the craft of quilting and is committed to using recycled textiles to create these beautiful pieces, which are very unique and colorful. She says that quilting frees her to experiment in new ways, and has improved her creative process.
Ms. Izard has exhibited her work at lots of venues since 2000, including several in NYC, and although there will no longer be the possibility of meeting Bethany at an art reception since we are closed, you will find her contact information at the virtual exhibit.
Please check out this lovely display during the month of April and for more information about applying for an art exhibit, please Email Jean Hlady, Head of Adult Services/Reference, at [email protected]
