Massachusetts schools to be closed for remainder of 2019-2020 school year
In his press conference earlier today, Governor Baker announced that the Massachusetts School Closing Order will be extended and that schools will not reopen this academic school year.
“All public and private schools will remain closed through the end of the school year. Remote learning will continue in all districts. This does not apply to residential special education schools,” Baker said.
According to Baker, students cannot safely return to school and risk spreading COVID-19 to others.
