Children’s Jewish Activity Program Joins Area Purim Events
The Shalom Children Activity Program (SCAP), a year-long program sponsored by a collaborative partnership of South Shore synagogues and Jewish organizations, will join with four of its great member synagogues for its next event, “Celebrate Purim,” on Sunday, March 8th.
SCAP participants and their families are invited to attend the SCAP co-sponsored activities at our partner communities. Pick the one that’s right for you, and please be sure to RSVP. Each Purim program will be filled with tasty treats – Hamantashen – and fun, family-oriented activities. Don’t miss out on this once-a-year celebration.
Families with children up to age 8 who are looking for fun, social, engaging activities infused by Jewish values and experiences are invited to join with SCAP at: Congregation Sha’aray Shalom in Hingham – Purim Shpiel at 10:30 followed by Purim Carnival at 11:30
Congregation Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills in Milton – Purim Carnival, Costume Contest and Parade, Games, Prizes, Food & Fun, 11:00-12:30
Temple Beth David of the South Shore in Canton – Purim Shpiel at 11:00 followed by Purim Carnival and Pizza at noon
Temple B’nai Tikvah in Canton – Make Your Own Hamantashen with Chef Michelle from 2-4 PM.
These events require SCAP registration, as well as RSVP’s to the individual synagogues. Registration for this event and locations of each synagogue are at our website at www.shalomcap.com. For questions or concerns, contact: [email protected].
For parents looking for some kind of Jewish family connection, SCAP’s programs and events are a way to experience, create, and celebrate together while meeting other families living in your area. No-cost once-a-month programs take place through June 2020 from South Boston to the South Shore, and participants are welcome to come to one or all.
SCAP’s partners include Cong. Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills, Milton; Temple Beth David of the South Shore, Canton; Temple Beth Sholom, Hull; Cong. Sha’aray Shalom, Hingham; B’nai Tikvah, Canton; Temple B’nai Shalom, Braintree; and JCC of Greater Boston. The Shalom Children Activity Program is supported in part by a grant by CJP’s South Area Planning Committee.
