Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton provides $10,000 donation to Milton Foundation for Education
Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton (BID Milton) has made a $10,000 donation to the Milton Foundation for Education. The donation will be used to support the foundation’s 2020 efforts to raise funds to provide grants for additional continuing education opportunities for Milton Public School’s teachers and staff.
During the last five years, BID Milton has donated more than $75,000 to the Milton Foundation for Education and the town’s public schools.
“One of our core beliefs at the hospital is to give back to the community, in a multitude of ways, that improve the quality of life,” explained Richard Fernandez, hospital president. “Our children are the future, and having strong schools, teachers and staff are vital to building that future.”
Milton Foundation for Education President Will Korman added: “We thank BID Milton for their generous support of our organization and schools these last several years. The hospital has been a valued partner of the foundation and very generous in supporting the Milton Public Schools.”
The donation to the Milton Foundation for Education was made through the hospital’s Community Benefits Program. This program provides healthcare services and resources for uninsured or underinsured patients, community health screenings and education as well as programs to meet public health and community needs. Last year, BID Milton provided more than $200,000 in community benefits to the Town of Milton and its residents.
