The Saint Rock Haiti Foundation to hold Gala: Raising funds, celebrating Haitian Canival, and honoring the legacy of Dr. Stephen Bresnahan
Flatley Foundation to once again match all funds raised to $200,000
Quincy, MA – The Saint Rock Haiti Foundation Gala, to be held on Thursday, February 27, at Quincy’s Granite Links Golf Club, will raise funds for a new health clinic under construction in Saint Rock, Haiti, and celebrate Haitian Carnival, whose festive joy is a symbol of resilience and determination in the face of struggle.
The Gala, whose theme is “Building Hope Together,” will also honor the legacy of the late Dr. Stephen Bresnahan, a beloved board member who passed away from cancer in 2019.
“Before he died, Steve made an impassioned plea for expanding the Saint Rock Haiti Foundation Centre de Santé in order to help the thousands of people now seeking our services,” notes Jocelyn Bresnahan, DNP, president and CEO of the Saint Rock Haiti Foundation. “My hope is that the 2020 Gala will enable us to fulfill his dream.”
The Flatley Foundation will once again match all funds raised up to $200,000. Well-known Boston media personalities Eileen Curran and Bob Halloran will reprise their roles as masters of ceremonies. The Honorable Linda Dorcena Forry, vice president of Suffolk Construction, is the Gala’s honorary chairperson.

About the Saint Rock Haiti Foundation
Since its inception in 2002, the Saint Rock Haiti Foundation has grown from serving 100 patients to caring for over 40,000 registered patients in 2018. As the patient volume continues to grow, our goal remains the same: to provide unwavering access to the dignified health care that these Haitian communities deserve. The Foundation is working to expand our current operations to a brand-new facility, which will be a significant step towards meeting that goal.
Based in Saint Rock, Haiti, and Milton, Massachusetts, the Foundation brings together Haitians, South Shore residents and others from Greater Boston to meet not only the medical and dental needs of the people of Saint Rock, but also their goals for education, economic sustainability and self-determination.
Our work together builds long-lasting relationships based on mutual respect, friendship and solidarity.
