Temple Beth David of the South Shore to host special program on teaching in India
Temple Beth David of the South Shore will hold a special presentation on teaching in India from Emily Whipple.
On Sunday, November 3 at 11:00 a.m., Emily Whipple will share a fascinating presentation on her school year as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in India. The program, entitled “The Traveling Teacher: A School Year in India,” is presented by the Temple Beth David Adult Education committee.
Emily is an English teacher who was looking to combine her love of teaching with her love of travel. She applied for the competitive Fulbright English Teaching Assistant program, and spent nine months last year teaching in the south of India. She will talk about her experience, including the ups and downs of living in a developing, conservative country, while sharing incredible photographs and answering questions from the audience.
The program is free and no RSVP is necessary.
